The Cricket
When do we play?
We host touring teams from April until the end of June, then we break for July and August, during these months we run our “Allcomers” Summer Cricket, returning to our team fixtures in September and October.
Where are we?
Our ground is situated in Biniparrell, Sant Lluis on the south side of the island. This is roughly 20 minutes from the airport, approx. 5 minutes’ drive from Sant Lluis town and 20 minutes from Mahon centre. Our outfield is grass but we have a county standard artificial wicket, so we ask you to not bring spiked cricket shoes please. We recommend dimple soled shoes or ordinary trainers.
What does it cost?
We charge 375€ per game (including tax) per 40 over game (750€ per weekend). Your match fee includes teas for players, umpires and scorer, ground rental, cricket equipment, use of nets etc.
We ask you to provide a red match ball for both games. We use Play-Cricket to score the games, which we stream via Frogbox, and they can be viewed on our YouTube channel live or after the match. We will provide one umpire and if you don’t have one available in your party, we can share umpiring duties between us.
We play 40 over matches on Saturday and Sunday with the normal fielding restrictions for limited overs cricket (no Powerplays) however some teams prefer a reduced over game on Sunday.
Our Saturday side is typically the stronger team, (we are village standard mostly with a view to introducing new and junior players into the club) with an average age of the team over 40. If you let us know your standard, we will try to adapt to that to give you the best game.
Games start at 12.30 both days and we generally adhere to standard cricket rules, such as 8 overs per bowler, generous approach to wides, no spiked shoes please as we have an artificial county standard wicket. Any other special rules can be discussed between the team captains before the game starts. Cricket whites are usually worn and games are played in the best possible spirit. Tea is normally taken between innings to refuel and recharge.
We have two lockable changing rooms both equipped with showers. Of course you are very welcome to leave kit bags at the ground after the Saturday game.
How to secure your fixture?
Upon confirmation of firm dates for your tour, we will ask for the full payment of 750€ to secure the fixture. This must be paid within 30 days. Our bar is a cash only bar.
Our custom is to present visiting clubs with a small memento on their first visit to Menorca. We love entertaining at the ground after the game and can offer menus for BBQ and paellas, which we normally offer on Saturday nights after the first game. If you are a big group, we can organise musicians at the ground to help the party along or we have a 900w sound system that you can link to via Bluetooth and play your favorite Spotify playlist!
Ladies Cricket
Ladies cricket relaunching soon. We have 8 local ladies interested, so just a few more to find. We have lots of interest for Ladies teams to tour and play against us, both softball and hardball cricket. We are hoping to host a ladies tournament in 2026, whether we can muster a team or not. If you are interested in playing or touring please get in touch with fixtures secretary.
Kids Cricket
Watch this space! Coaches are being trained, first aid certificates completed, police checks are being done, and we hope to launch the junior section soon.
Building on the success of the summer cricket program we have quite a few names of local children that would like to play more.
We will be following the Criio Cricket program as governed by Cricket España.
Send us an email or get in touch if you have a child or children that would like to put their name down for when it starts.

How to get to the ground?
Taxis in Menorca can take a while during the busy months, especially if there is a local fiesta happening. There is only one taxi company on the island, Radio Taxis: + 34 971 36 71 11. Their operators do speak English and it always best to pre order especially in peak season.
If you prefer to hire a car, then we recommend DonCars who offer the best rates and have a wide range of vehicles on offer.
If you prefer to be chauffeured or are a large party, then we also have some recommendations for chauffeur driven minibus hire. Contact either of the two companies below and both ladies speak English:
